Traffic Prioritisation (acisPriority)

ACIS Traffic Prioritisation offers Authorities and Transport Operators the ability to incorporate the latest automatic Intelligent Traffic Priority Systems.

The solution differs from many other systems using dGPS with a single radio receiver for all approaches or filters to a junction. This alleviates the need for costly road works.

The intelligent system ensures that;

• Only late vehicles are normally given priority ensuring that buses adhere to their schedules rather than get earlier and earlier as with non-intelligent systems.
• It reduces Traffic Signal Disturbance and reduces 'SCOOT' overload which happens in congested cities.
• This system is compatible with many Barrier and Bollard Control systems ensuring that high streets are kept clear of other traffic.
• The degree of lateness or adherence for priority is configurable for the system.

The system is available in various options to incorporate:-

• 433MHz-Priority for those countries where this is the licence free frequency
• RTIG-Priority for UK systems complying with the RTIG standards
• Strategic-Priority for PMR systems connected directly to the Traffic Control Computer (UTC).

All of the systems can also be used to control barriers & bollards to ensure that only controlled vehicles are allowed into certain areas.
