House Display (acisHome)
The ACIS House Display enables Authorities and House Builders to incorporate the latest Real Time Information Displays into the build of the home.
The display not only shows Bus, Rail, Airport and Ferry information (Where available) but also shows environmental information such as the residents personal electricity, gas and water usage so that they can play an active part in reducing their energy consumption and thus reduce their carbon footprint. The travel information is supplemented by configurable alarms so that each member of the household can be alerted to when their bus is approaching their nearest shelter.
The display is finding many uses by local authorities and in sheltered housing situations where the technology can be used to inform the household directly when the service engineer is due or when bin collection or recycling days are due. All of this saves on paper and printing.
We have the potential to interface with utility companies for the direct measurement and reporting of energy usage within the home saving the reading of the meter manually. The house display is the first real time transport information portal to be installed in the home. The first phase of installs for the revolutionary unit has commenced winter 2007 and will continue through 2009 at The Bridge development in Dartford. Providing all new (and eventually retro fit) homes with accurate and live information on local transport and community information. This display also integrates with local car share schemes, car clubs and community websites.
